This card is made from bits out my scrap crate, yes crate. The paper was fee from a magazine, the ribbon and brads are all from my stash. I put a couple of pieces of card thru my CB using Swiss dots and then inked it with an amber colour. The main card is SU and the rest is bazill. The imgae is coloured with pencils and Sansador and I've added a bit of sunburn to his nose. Ooops sorry Dad. LOL. Jim is from the Digi stamp boutique. I put the sentiment at the top to look like the sun and hand wrote it.

That nasty "C" word ...

I saw this sketch over at The Pink elephant and it said "C" to me so I just had to do it. Sorry !
This is my fav "C" stamp, I think it's by Woodware (not sure). It's been used that much that the pick on the wood has nearly worn off. I stampec it 3 times in black versa and then embossed it with clear powder. and then cut them out loosing different bits each time. they are then deco'd and beads are added to the middle. The black squares have been put thru my CB using a snowflake folder. I used black Cor'dinations card for this and then sanded and glittered it.
All the card except the Cor'dination was from the Papermill shop. The Cor'dination was from my stash.
Ta for visiting and please feel free to leave a comment as they are always welcome, good or bad.

Happy crafting !

Oh girlie, girlie...

is what I've called this card for the Sugar bowl challenge. You need to follow this wonderful sketch by Lilian. For those of you who don't know they ask you only to use Sugar Nellie stamps, so I picked this little cutie. She's coloured using my new 68p pencils from Asda (bargain). They are only short one's so I need to go and get another couple of packets. They're great with Sansador.
The lilac card is from the papermill and the darker shade is bazill. The patterned paper is laura Ashley. Everything else is from my stash.

Thank you for taking the time to have a look at my blog and the cards I make. Any comments are apreciated. Your welcome to pop in any time.

Mornin' ...

as my young niece would say. Well its a bit overcast this morning, but they say it's going to brighten up. Fingers crossed !
Sorry there haven't been any cards for a few days. I'm so tired at the moment, hopefully my test results will shed some light as to why.
I booked a couple of nights off work as I've got this awful chesty cough, that tickly in my throat. So am hopingt o get some cards done after I've cleaned thru this morning. Yes it's the dreaded "H" word. I need to with a dog, kitten, small boy and a hubby.
The kitten n dog are now friends apart from when it comes to food, then the dog has to go outside while Gizzy eats. It's a palava.

Well I'd better get meself ready for the school run and then it's back for I can't even bring myself to type it again LOL !

Good morning ...

from a sunny Derby. I think I'm falling apart. I've been poorly on and off for a few weeks and now my chest has started and I'm all snuffly. When will it end ? ! Any way grumble over.

Went to the Papermill shop yesterday and picked up a couple of boxes of card. Found some lovely white card that was hammered but not as heavy a pattern as usual and some gorjus coloured card. 2 £1.25 little stamp sets managed to fall into my basket to keep the 2 rolls of ribbon company. I just don't know how that happens ! Do you have the same sort of thing with your baskets ?

Started 2 cards yesterday, so want to get them done today. Will post them later.
Well I'm off to text my Dad, OH's Dad had his card yesterday so sorted.

Aaaaaaarrrrrggghhhh ...

I'm so angry with my local shop. I've just been in to get some money and some shopping only to find that the machine isn't working. That's only all week now ! Not a problem you would think, I'l pay chip n pin. Get's my shopping, goes to the checkout and my least favourite operator is on, but that's by the by. He scan's everything thru, I ask for cash back, I wait and wait and wait. Then the machine beeps and he utters those imortal words, " I'l have to try it again, it's cancelled the transaction. So off we go again, and it cancells again. So we give it another go, third time lucky you'd think. Huh no such luck. So I say can't you just swipe it ? Seems the logical solution. But oh no he can't do that, he doesn't make the rules, he just works there. So I have to leave my shopping and drive to the nearest cash machine to get cash and then drive back to the shop. Just what you need when you've been to work all night. I've been told that this happens with all cards from my bank and it's been reported, but nothings been done. So the moral of the story is you can only shop in there if you've got cash or you don't bank at this certain bank. WHAT'S HAPPENED TO CUSTOMER SERVICE ???

What makes it worse is that this is a store thats owned by one of Britains largest supermarkets, but doesn't trade under that name and that I was the manager of before I had DS. i don't usually cause a fuss, but I'm going in later when some one with a bit of sense is in.

Sorry to have a moan, I'l be back later when I've calmed down.

The image is WOJ, the quote is PB I think but the name has rubbed off as I got the stamp 2nd hand off a bric a brac stall in the market and the sentiment is definately PB.
The card is bazill, the paper is from my stash and I can't remember what make it is. Ooops sorry.
The ribbon, gems, lace and chipboard heart are all from my stash too. I covered the heart with bazill and then painted it with sparklz crystal.

Good morning ...

fellow bloggers. It's a bit cooler this morning due to the rain we had in the night, and what a welcome relief that was. Working in a metal wharehouse I freeze in winter and cook in summer. Last night the heat was terrible so when it rained it was GORJUS !!!
DS is bathed, fed, watered and dressed all ready to go off to school. Just little old me to sort out.

The kitten is settling in well and has really found his feet, especially where the dogs concerned. He teases him now to see what the dog will do. All in all they seem to be getting on ok at the min. He's very playful and chases his own tale alot. When he mews DS asks what he's saying. I've explained that we don't speak cat, but he thinks we should know. LOL. Not after watching Red Dwarf for years have I picked up the ancient language of mew. LOL.

Any way that's me for now, am off to start a card. I've an idea in my head and it wont go away.

4 challeges, 1 card. Keep the inspiration flowing ....

Here goes with this mamouth post. I've really enjoyed making this card because it just seemed to flow. I never set out for it to be for 4 challenges, it just sort of happened.

1. Cupcake crafts theme this week is fairies. I got this image a couple of weeks ago from Digistamp boutique. Isn't she lovely?

2. Digi stamp Tuesday is this sketch. Which I really like as I think it could be very versatile.

3. Across at Dare U 2 Digi stamp their challenge is to use ribbons, which is in the sketch above but I've added an extra line so there's a crossover.

4. Secret crafter Sat challenge are wanting us to bring out the BLING ! My bling is the glittery wings and wand star, and there's glitter on the backing paper.

Iused DCWV Pocket of Posies for the backing paper and SU card. Everything else is out of my stash. I think the flowers were Papermania from last year. The sentiment is from PB Critter party set.

Many thanks for popping in a nd your welcome any time.

Everything is from stash. The ickle flutterby is a hair clip that I'd got in my button box for some reason. After everything was in place I sparyed it with clear varnish.

And what a glorious one it is. Went back to work last nite after a week off. Never nice. I managed to finish early as I lift share and the driver had already arranged to finish at break, so bonus.
DS is getting ready for school, he's been asking all week when will it be time to go back. I'm glad he enjoys it, it makes life so much easier.
Have got a few ideas running thru my head at the min. Think I need to write them down before I forget.
It's good to see my blog friend Louise Emma is back up and about after her few weeks in hospital. You've been missed Mrs.
Am off to get some breakfast and text my friend make sure she's up. And then It'l be off on the school run with DS and his lucky legs. Lucky you ask ? Yes lucky they don't break LOL. I've seen more meat on a butchers apron LOL. But he's happy and thats all that counts.

Well am off to get done. Have a fab day in the sunshine and think of me stuck indoors asleep while your all sat in your gardens crafting away like good'uns. Happy crafting.
Love Karen xxx
