AHOY ! ...

Captain Max is coming aboard. I'v made this card for the Basic Grey challenge, which is this fab sketch by Martine. Also I'm going to enter it ino Pink Gems prize draw to win 6 of Janet's beautiful stamps. Janet is looking for guest designers too so wish me luck !

The papers are BG Ambrosia and DCWV Rock star and the card is Papermill. Captain Max is stamped onto some fantastic art paper from Photopaperdirect.com. It's slightly textured and works great with pencils and Sansador.

I coiled some twine round some buttons from my stash, the brads are from my stash too.

The sentiment is handwritten.

I'm still ....

here and I've not done any crafting. My week has been busy trying to sort out schooling for my step son and a hospital visit for me.
Unfortunately due to a minor disagreement between my hubby and DSS Mother, the poor lad has been picked up and taken home. He didn't want to go but who listen's to an 8 year old.?
So today's a new day and I can spend it crafting after I've made a few phone calls to undo the arrangements made for him. Hubby and I are so disheartened. Oh humm.
I've got a card to finish for a challenge and something and I need to start the samples for my brother's Wedding invites, order of service and place names. NO PRESSURE ! And get my SOPHISTICATS in early this week. Boy will that shock 'em !
So all in all plenty to keep me busy.

Am off to get sorted before DS gets up and his friend arrives for me to take to school. In the words of Arnie, " I'l be back " later with something to show you, I promise, honestly I will !

Cheryl's challenge over at SOPHISTICATS ...

Good morning ladies and gents. Well it's Cheryl's sketch this week over at SOPHISTICATS and she's done us proud with this fab sketch and an added challenge of bling on your work. That can be glitter, gems or anything that sparkles.

I used this fantastic image by Mo Manning at Digital Pencil too. Isn't he just gorjus ? I've printed him onto this great paper by Photopaper Direct.com. It's slightly textured and prints and colours absolutely fab.

For the bling bit I've added good old Glamour dust for the spider's web.

The greeting is computer generated.

3. Bizzi Bec's - Pink or plum with burgundy and green. Add Lace, ribbon or fibre's. I added lace and ribbon.

4. Just Magnolia - Handmade flowers. All the flowers are hand punched.

5. Simon Say's - Card for Paige for World Card Day anything girlie.

The card is SU and Papermill, the paper is BG. The lace, ribbon and gems are all from my stash.

The paper is from my stash, the card is SU and Bazill, the gems are from my stash and the image and sentiment arePB.

o create the spots I've put the card thru my CB Swiss dots folder and then inked it and all the flowers are hand punched.

An apology and Well what a week ...

Firstly I would like to say sorry to all my followers and blog friends for not being about much. All will be explained momentarily. Big hugs to you all.

Well what a week ! Work is still a bit stressful at the min as we all try to get used to the new shift and working hours. (mine haven't changed) YET !

And as a family we are having my hubby's 8 year old to live with us. He has a few problems and has been excluded from school. His Mum rang my hubby the other day and said would we have him on a pemanent basis when he picks him up on Saturday. So I've been in overdrive since then trying to arrange schooling, sleeping arrangements and everything else that goes with having an 8 year old. Hubby has been busy getting hold of solicitor's and welfare people to try and get info what we need to know and do.
I feel sure that his Mum didn't come to this decision lightly as he has a young sister at home who he adores.
We've got a meeting at th Junior school where DS is at the infants, next Tuesday. I've booked next week off work so that I can spend some time with him and in the hope that he'l be in school the following week P/T at least.
We have got to sit and talk to DS today so that he knows what's going on as he'l have to share his room and the WII. OMG at 5 and a half sharing your WII is just awful LOL !

Sorry to burden you all with this, but my blog is my outlet.
Am off to my craft room now to do some CAFTING !!!!! Am off to Dabblers later to catch up with all my crafty mates. Don't suppose I'l get much done but I can show willing !
