My Brother will be ...

the big 40 next week and here's his card. I used this sketch from this weeks challenge over at Friday Sketchers.
The sentiment is by Bethany over at Elegant word art. She is very talented and produces some wonderful sentiments for scrapping and cardmaking. Take a look at her blog, it's lovely.

The DP is Laura Ashley, the card is Papermill and Bazill, the numbers, ribbon and brads are from my stash. The greeting is from a set.

Look what ...

I made . It's for my nephews birthday that was in June. I know it's now August but my inspiration was somewhat lacking. And then, out of the blue I had an idea. And this is the result. I'm not brilliant at altered art and because they live down near Basingstoke, I don't really know what he's into other than footie and PS2. i just hope he likes it.
The paper is from my stash, not sure what designer I've had it for ages. The card is SU and bazzill, the image is Magnolia and the little verse was off the internet.

My Dad's going down to visit at the weekend so he's delivering lots of stuff for me.

Hello, Hello, Hello ....

How is everyone this morning ?
I can't believe how wrm it is even though it's gloomy. I'm hoping it'l brighten up later.
Didn't get any crafting done yesterday, hence no pic or challenge card. Today I would like to get at least 2 cards done for orders and a special family card done. I need to deliver the family card to my Dad's tomorrow so that he can give it to said person.
Actually, thinking about it I've got a piece of altered art to do aswell for a present that needs to be taken with my Dad too. Best be off then and get cracking.

Blushing pair ...

1 card, 4 challenges, here goes.

1. Stamp with fun - Pearls.
2. A Spoonful of Sugar - This sketch.
3. Dutch Dare - Lace on your card.
4. Penny Black Sat Challenge - Summer.

I think I've managed to encorporate all these challenges in this card.
The image of course is PB coloured with pencils and Sansador, the DP is BG, the card is Papermill and SU. The lace, ribbon, pearls and flowers are all from my stash. The small flowers are had punched out of the BG leftover pink paper.

A Taste of the Orient ...

Using a set of stamps by Hero arts that I fell in love with the other day. Isn't she a cutie. I don't usually do Oriental, but I just love this set. Anyway onto the 3 challenges and DT call I made this card for.
The 1st challenge is over at Daring Cardmakers where they want to see lots of bling and glitz. There are a few gems on here, but most of my glitz is in the paper and card I've used. At Paper Blooms they would like us to use a "hidden sentiment". I've gone out the box with this as my sentiment is in the Oriental writing. On the sheet the stamps came on, it says the banner translates to "Thank you". I apologise if this is incorrect, but I can only go with what's on the packet. So my sentiment is hidden in the banner. Number 3 challenge is over at Pile it On where they would like us to use more that 3 flowers and , as usual as many challenges as possible. I've used 6 flowers, another 2 challenges and a DT call.

Also I wanted to try out for Bizzy Bec's Creatalicious Challenge DT. All you have to do is make a card or creation using this sketch, post it on your blog and then put it on Mr Linky with your post on Bec's Challenge blog.

The image is Hero art from a clear stamp set called "Chinese Dolls". She's heat embossed and then coloured using glittery Sakura pens in red and gold. I've deco'd the middle of her tunic for a bit of depth. The coin and banner are also from the set. I heat emboss the banner twice. Once with gold onto black card and then in black onto red card. The middle is cut out and deco'd. I then rolled both ends round coktail sticks and added some gold brade.
The flowers are all hand punched with co ordinating brads for the middles.
The card and paper are all bits that I had lurking in my overflowing bit box. The gems, buttons, brads and brade are all from my stash.

Something Simple ...

for this men's card that I've done for The Pink elephant challenge this week. The challenge is this lovely sketch. I wanted to do something unfussy and masculine for a change. And this is what I came up with.
I've deco'd the do head and feet to give a bit of depth. The paper is K and Co, the card is Papermill, the fabric, brads and ribbon are all from my stash. The sentiment is from a set which name escapes me at the moment.

Morning ...

from a drizzly Derby. I'm hoping that the rain theyv predicted for this afternoon has been early and that we might get a decent day. Only time will tell.
Well I've been off since Tuesday and I haven't done much crafting, but I have had a fair bit of rest which is good because I was SHATTERED !
Managed to replace my broken flower punch yesterday, which is good. Hopefully it'l last me as long as my other one.
Thought I'd share this beautiful card that DS made for his Dad the other afternoon. Not sure what team he's meant to play for and he does look like he might need the magic sponge, but he's coloured beautifully. I think I'd better watch out.
Hubby is off next week much to DS's approval, he loves his Daddy being at home. They play on the WII together on Mario kart, I can't play because apparently I'm rubbish at it. LOL ! Oh to have the concerns of a 5 year old !
I'd better be off before you all nod off. Have got loads of ideas and a couple of orders to get thru sooooooooooo thats me for now.
